Along with the crew and the father and son, you can travel out to the Napali Coast. Captain Lani’s family history goes back to his great, great grandfather Kahanu – which is also the name of the boat you will be traveling in. The family has lived on the north shore of Kauai and they have maintained their old Hawaiian culture and bring this culture to their special charters. There are dolphins, reef fish, and whales in season and on the Napali Coast. At the end of the day you will have a deeper understanding of the way things were and you will have learned something of their crafts such as baskets, mats and hats. Captain Lani and the Kahanu can also take you out on a dinner cruise or whale watching in season or private charters.
