Cowboys of Hawaii Horseback
We offer reviews of the Best Hawaii Tours & Activities, browse around and take a look!Description
Visit Cowboys of Hawaii Horseback Riding at Parker Ranch to the first location where paniolos (cowboys) and horses first met 150 years. On Parker Ranch, your horseback riding tour begins at the Blacksmith Shop and then moves on to the Breaking Pen, over the rolling hills to the Stone Corrals. At one time, there were 5,000 head of Hereford cattle held in the Stone Corrals after they were driven down from Mauna Kea. There are other historical sites. One of the more popular ones is the Race Track where Parker Ranch trained its renowned thoroughbreds. These Parker Ranch thoroughbreds still hold world records for speed. Riders of all categories – beginner, intermediate and advanced – will enjoy the experience. There are only a couple of restrictions. Riders have to be at least 7 years old and those over 250 pounds need to call ahead and make prior arrangements. The riding is only Western style. Parker Ranch welcome non-English speaking guests and can accommodate their language choice. There is also an exclusive Japanese Ride available. For a little extra charge, you can get private rides. And if you don’t ride at all, you can be entertained with wagon rides, historical homes tours and the visitor’s center and museum while you wait for the riders in your group.
