It was Ken Schmitt who began Hike Maui, one of the oldest touring destinations in 1983 – after living most part of his life alone in the jungle. He is called a walking encyclopedia as he provides rich information and invigorating tours to hikers. You will then find that Ken is an expert on dolphins, whales, turtles, ethno botany and wildlife in general. During the last three decades, Maui has become similar to a resort destination from being the rural island it once was. However, the natural beauty surrounding it remains innately inviolate. Also, many of the existing places can be only explored on foot. Hike Maui includes a remote wilderness, quiet trails, virgin waterfalls and a meditative setting.
