The Dunes at Maui Lani is the latest addition to Maui’s list of great golf courses. Set in central Maui near Kahului, the Dunes is aptly named for the sand dunes that for centuries have been the main characteristic of the Central Valley. The course is patterned after the Irish Linksland Design and is quite a tough course. Hidden away in a Hawaiian Kiawe forest and with a lot of peaks and valleys, the Dunes has rolling fairways, revetment bunkers, and demanding greens. When you add in the frequently shifting wind directions you have a very challenging course.

18 Holes, 66 Sand Bunkers, 2 Water hazards. Yardage – Black: 6841, Blue: 6413, White: 5833 Red: 4768.
