Description
Waipio Ridge Stables can take you up above the Waipio Valley where, on a high ridge, you can look down and see the most incredibly breathtaking scenery on the Island of Hawaii. The locale is pristine because the sugar cane companies restricted access to this area. When the Bishop Estate took over the land, the restrictions were lifted and finally people can feast their eyes on the scenery. The only way to get to the overlook areas is on horseback (pure paradise for riders), on a 4-wheel drive, by mountain bike or by walking, Helicopters are not allowed near the rim above the valley floor.
